MANDAUE CITY is just one of the cities in Cebu, Philippines. It is a highly urbanized city where you can find some of the largest companies in the country like San Miguel  Corporation & Coca Cola.
Also in this city are the many branches of some of the most prominent banks such as MetrobankBanco De OroBank of the Philippine IslandsChina BankPhilippine  National Bank, just to name a few.
The City of Mandaue celebrates its annual fiesta every 8th day of May.

Going Around:

There are several Public Utility Jeepneys (PUJs) and Public Utility Vehicles (PUV, Taxi) going around Mandaue and all points of Cebu Province. Depending upon your point of destination in Cebu City, you can either take 21B if you want to go to Fuente Osmena area or 21A if you want to go near Manalili area. If you are near Talamban, you can take a PUJ there as well to go to Mandaue. If you are in a hurry, you can always hire a Taxi that is conveniently available from where you are at. (*Traffic routes for jeepneys may change without prior notice, it’s always safe to ask around when traveling so you won’t get lost and as per this blogger’s parents’ advice, the best people to ask direction to are the security guards/personnel)

Getting Here:

If you are from the other parts of the Philippines, you can reach Mandaue City via Cebu by boat or by air. If you are from the other parts of the world, you can get to Mandaue via Cebu thru your local airlines or thru Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, AirPhil Express, Tiger Airways, depending upon your point of origin.

Places of Interest:

  • A.S. Fortuna Street  - this street is a long stretch starting from Jollibee Highway (Highway Seno) up to the intersection in Banilad road in Foodland. If you are a foodie, you can find your choice of food here beginning from one end to another. Also there are various entertainment hubs/hangout places in this “food street” street… Some of the hotels listed below can be found here
  • Cebu International Convention Center – North Reclamation Area, New Mandaue City
  • JCentre Mall - A.S. Fortuna St, Mandaue City
  • Mandaue City Plaza – Mandaue City proper
